Hi again!
I wanted to share a card I did for my uncle who is having a birthday today.
Guy cards are sometimes hard because you can't use a lot of flowers and bling. He loves airplanes so I really wanted to use one. That's the best part of making cards is taking something your family loves and using that to create something unique for them. I used the sketch from Card Patterns for the layout. Check it out here.
Here is what I came up with....
I used the My community cartridge to cut the six airplane silhouettes. The squares are all cut using my Nestabilites through my Cuttlebug. The shadows on the nesties were just cut using my regular paper trimmer. The scalloped edge is my EKsuccess punch. I printed out the sentiment on photo paper and cut it out also with Nesties as well as the scalloped shadow. I really love how this came out and he did too. He received it today!
Happy Birthday!!! Hope to have some family fun soon! Congrats on your hat pins!
Chrissy I love this card. My husband is a pilot and this would make a very cute card for him for Fathers day. Do you mind if I copy this?
