Golfin' Birthday

I'm back! Boy it's been a busy couple months.
Hope everyone is doing well out in the blogging world!
I wanted to share a card I made for my good friend and neighbor's birthday!

The stamp is Stampendous and features one of my favorite guys...Changito!!!
I mounted him on circles cut from Nesties and colored him with my Bic Markers. The sentiment is also a Stampendous stamp and goes with my little golfer guy. The little orange block I Cuttlebugged with the Argyle folder. A little ribbon, a few brads and a button later, I was done.

Thanks for checking it out.

I know I've said it before but I'm really going to try to be better at this blogging thing. :)

Happy Spring!

Hi there,
Just wanted to share a happy, springy card I made.
It's actually for my sister-in-law who celebrates both Easter and Passover.

The cat is from Stampendous. I believe the Happy Spring is also from Stampendous' line. I stamped them together to come up with one big image. I colored them with my Bic markers and added a few adhesive gems as flower centers. The ribbon is from my stash. I pink flower on the bow is from a foam pack and I added an adhesive gem for a flower center. The little butterfly I found at Hobby Lobby!

Have a great holiday!

Happy Easter - Scrappy Frogs

Hi there,
Hope everyone is having a great start to the weekend!
The weather is simply gorgeous here. Been walking A LOT with my pooch. We have a blast!

For mine I chose....
Embossing
Plaid
and Digi Stamp
Find the full list....here.

The background paper is a plaid sheet I found in a cute Spring Martha Stewart paper pack. The bunny is an adorable digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. Check out there fabulous digi stamps here. I colored him in with my Bic markers. Still no Copic's yet...lol! Maybe someday! The green block in the corner is embossed with the argyle Cuttlebug embossing folder. The flowers are small foam stickers I found at Hobby Lobby. I added an adhesive gem as the flower center.
That's about it.

Now it's your turn....Hop on over to Scrappy Frogs, pick your three, and play along with us here! We have a good time.

Sesame Street

Good Morning!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
I wanted to share a basket that I donated to a local group I'm involved with that raises money for local charities. We held an Auction and all proceeds went to charity.

New Home~

Hi!
Hope everyone is recovering from their St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Hubby has a head cold so we ended up staying home. We're trying to get him fixed up as quickly as possible because we leave for Florida tomorrow! YAY! We're going to visit my great aunt who's turning 80 and then we're going to spend a couple days at our favorite place...Disney World. Woo hoo! It's fun, because my mom and dad and another uncle and aunt are all going too! FUN!
Anyway, on to the card. I made this card for one of my hubby's cousins who just moved into a new home! The sketch is based of this week's MoJo Monday sketch. Click here.

The paper is from the DCWV Linen stack. I LOVE this stack. It's so soft and clean. The circles were cut from Nesties and the house is pop dotted. It was cut from My Community. I designed Home Sweet Home in Word. I amazed myself...lol. I added some soft blue adhesive peals. The bow looks a lot more green in the photo but it really is close to the blue paper in color.

Thanks for stopping by!

Hope everyone finds a Pot O' Gold today!
I wanted to share another one of my baskets. This was one I did for the assisted living facility.
They we're having a big St. Patrick's Day party and wanted a prize.

I used Paper Doll Dress Up for the leprechaun, pots of gold, shamrocks and the horse shoe. Lucky was cut from Indie Art and the rainbow came from Hello Kitty Greetings. I added a few foam shamrocks on some of the die cuts. The beer was a cut file I found over at the Craft Edge- food forum.
Have a great day and Erin Go Bragh!

Construction Thanks!

Hi!
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Here in Ohio the temps are reaching nearly 50 degrees and the sun is shining! It's been GREAT! Got out walking with Brinkley a little bit! Hopefully we've seen the end of winter....knock on wood...lol!
I wanted to share another bucket I did recently.
My mom and dad remodeled their kitchen and master bath. They tore EVERYTHING out. The whole project took 4 1/2 months. My mom wanted to do something for the lead contractor that did most of the work by himself! Over the months she got to know him pretty well and found out his favorite sports teams, adult beverages and restaurants and filled the bucket with goodies. Here's what I came up with on my end...lol!

Built Tough and Handle with care were both cut from Graphically Speaking. The little construction guy came from Everyday Paper Dolls. I found paper that looked like jeans and then added tiny silver brads for the fasteners on the overalls. The saw, hammer and screwdriver were all cut files from My Scrap Chick. The pencil and ruler were cut from Locker Talk. Thanks was cut from Don Juan and mounted on a black rectangle.
Thanks for checking it out and enjoy this sunshine!!!
Have a great week!

Baby boy!

Hi there,
An old friend from high school just had her first baby boy last week. She moved all the way to Arizona so we have kind of lost touch except for the wonderful world of Facebook. Anyway, I wanted to let her know how happy I was for her. Mom and baby are doing great.
Here is a card I made....

I used the New Arrival Cartridge for the baby buggy. I cut it numerous times to give it a little depth. I embossed the bottom half of the buggy with the Swiss Dots folder and added a few adhesive gems. It's mounted on some circles cut from Nesties and added some adhesive pearls around the outside. Welcome to the World is stamped and then it's cut out using Nesties. Button and Ribbon from the good ole' stash!

Princess Crown Card

Happy Monday!
I just wanted to share the card I made to go along with the Princess Wagon.
Again, the little one was turning one and her birthday party was princess themed.

I welded the crown from the Sweet Treats cartridge to form a shaped card. Instead of the heart that is cut on the crown I cut the number one from Hello Kitty Font and mounted it on circles cut with Nesties. I added some ribbon and tons of adhesive gems to give it that "royal" look. I cut stars from George to put on the top circles.

It was a big hit!

Thanks for stopping by!

Princess Wagon!

Happy Sunday!!!
Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend!
I want to share a little Princess themed "basket" I did for a little girl who just turned one.
Her party was Princess themed and they LOVE Disney so I thought Disney Princesses were perfect!
They are sitting in a wagon that came with some little people sized sand toys.

The princess were cut from the Happily Ever After and Dreams Come True cartridges. I don't remember which cam from where. But there were 3 from each...lol! I jazzed them up a little with adhesive gems and stickles!
Thanks for stopping by!

St. Patty's Day Lunch Box - Scrappy Frogs Challenge

Hi everyone!
It's time for another Challenge from the Scrappy Frogs Challenge Blog. This time our team leader Mindy challenged us, to Challenge our self. We were to do a project that we don't normally do....travel outside our comfort zone.
Well, being that I RARELY alter items, I decided to alter a little lunch box. I ran out and bought a bunch of these back before Christmas when I saw that "Okie" from the Cricut message board was altering these. She does such fab work...I wanted to give it a try. Well, needless to say, I never got around to it so I figured it was a good time to try! Okie has a cut file on her blog to cut the pieces to cover it. Then you just have to decorate! Easy peasy. Find the cut file here.

The paper was single sheets from Hobby Lobby. The little shamrocks are foam that were in a package. The ribbon was also from Hobby Lobby! The adorable little owl is a Digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio. They have the most adorable images over there. I colored him with my Bic markers. No Copics yet. :( He is cut out using Nesties. I doodled a little here and there!

Thanks for checking it out.
Why don't you Challenge Yourself and hop on over and join us. Click here.
Have a great rest of the weekend!

Happy Birthday Sadie!

Hi there,
I wanted to share a card I made for my neighbor's pooch. Our dogs are both around the same age and they play constantly in the summer months. Well Sadie just turned two today so of course I had to make her a card.

I used Paper Pups for the pup and the balloon. I cut the string off the balloon and added wire instead as the "string". To spruce her up a bit I added some pink adhesive gems and a googly eye. The back white layer was embossed with swiss dots.

Thanks for checking it out!

Happy Birthday Sadie!!

Hang in there

Hi there,

I wanted to share a card I put together last week for my hubby's uncle who was having some back troubles. He had to get a round of shots in his back to help alleviate some pain.

He is doing much better now...so that was GREAT news.

The sketch was last weeks MoJo Monday. I LOVE their sketches!

The stamp is a House Mouse colored with Prisma pencils. I mounted them on some scalloped circles cut with Nesties. I embossed the blue layers with the Swiss Dots folder and the Herringbone folder. Hang in there is a stamp from Stampendous and cut out with a Nesti.

Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by!!!

Feel better soon!

Hi there,
I am on a roll with my posting....feels good :)
I wanted to share a card I made for my hubby's cousin that had to have surgery today. She is doing well and can go home this weekend. We are so relieved!
Her favorite color is light blue so I wanted to go with a blue themed card.
Anyway, here is the card I made her....

That adorable little bear is a digi stamp from KLMdigi stamps. I just fell in love with him. I colored him with my Prismas and added a little tiny bow on the blanket to give it a little oomph. The paper is from a Boy stack at Hobby Lobby. I can't remember the actual company. The flowers are Prima. The little photo corners were punched from an EKsuccess punch then I added a few adhesive gems.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Sta - we love you and are glad you are doing well! :)

Mardi Gras!

Hi there,
Did everyone have a fun Fat Tuesday otherwise known as Mardi Gras!
I'm sure the folks down in Louisiana had a blast celebrating. Plus, the Saints winning the Super Bowl...wooohooo!
I wanted to share a Mardi Gras themed basket I did for a party at the Senior Center.

I cut the state of Louisiana from 50 States and the Fleur de Luis came from Sweethearts. I cut the crown from the Paisley cart and the balloon came from Celebrations. The masks and Mardi Gras are cut from SVG's I found at the Paper Yoga blog. Click here. The beads came from a cut file created with George and Basic Shapes that I found at the Fun 2 Cricut website. Click here.
Thanks ladies for sharing your cut files!
Thanks everyone else for stopping by!
Have a good one!

Happy Thoughts & MoJo Monday

Howdy,
I'm just about out of my mind with all this snow now! I can't take anymore...lol!
Hope the rest of you are surviving this VERY long winter.
I wanted to share a card I made for a cousin of DH and I, she is having surgery on Thursday. I wanted to send her a "pre-thinking" of you card before she goes.

The layout is this weeks MoJo Monday! Click on the link in my sidebar to check out the sketch and give it a try yourself! Awesome stuff! The paper is from the new DCWV Mariposa stack. Oh how pretty those papers are...lots and lots of butterflies!!! The lacy border punch in a Martha Stewart punch. The sentiment is a stamp but I have no idea who's it is. The butterfly is cut from a Spellbinder die. I sprinkled adhesive pearls all over the card.

Thanks so much for checking it out!

Sta- We're thinking of you and love ya!!!

Froggy Valentine

Hi there,
Hope everyone is ready for the weekend!
I wanted to share a valentine that I made for my niece. She is all about green. Loves it! So I wanted to create a Valentine that had a little green in it.

The paper is some I had left over from last year so I'm not sure who's it is. The frog was cut from the Paisley cartridge and he's mounted on some scalloped circles cut from Nesties. I gave him some googly eyes and I stickled the heart on his chest. The sketch is an older MoJo monday sketch but I can't remember the date...sorry :(

Have a great weekend!
