Grouchy St. Pat's!

I made this card for a my little nephew. It's a similar layout to the Hello Kitty I posted a little bit ago. I used Sesame Street & Friends for Oscar. The two smaller shamrocks are from a Martha Stewart punch. I cut the rainbow is from Hello Kitty Greetings. The pot of gold is from Paper Doll Dress Up and I stickled the gold. The little sign on the trash can is cut by hand and the stamp was on clearance at JoAnn's.

Irish Kitty!

Here is another card I did today. I actually made two of the exact same card for two little girls in my life. I just can't get enough of the Hello Kitty Cartridge. She is ADORABLE! I cut her at 3 3/4" The shamrock in her hand is the four leaf clover Martha Stewart Punch. I stickled the flower in her ear and used a "skittle" as the center. The rainbow was cut at 2 1/2". I sticked the clouds with my Ice Stickles. The pot of gold is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. The gold inside is also stickled. I used a shamrock stamp on the pot. The sentiment is a stamp also from JoAnn's.

Serendipity Cuttlebug Spot

This card was done for the Challenge this week over at the Cuttlebug Spot. The challenge was to use a new technique called Serendipity. Check out the blog here for a great tutorial.

I loved trying the new technique. It was tons of fun!

The card I could do without....lol.

It's much prettier in person though. The background block was done following the tutorial and then embossed with Floral Screen. The technique is awesome it gives a great effect. Give it a try. The fabric shamrocks on the left I found in the dollar bin at JoAnn's. I think they're a little overpowering and I can't get them off now...LOL! The shamrock in the center was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. It's mounted on Spellbinders Nestabilities Pinking Circles. The little glitter shamrock in the corner was put their to cover up a stamping mishap...LOL.

All in all this card gave me LOTS of trouble. I don't know if the greens are to bright for me or what.

I'm sure everyone has those projects that are destined to be less than perfect!

Wild Card 365

Good Morning.

I'm loving the 365 Card blog and when I have time I try to go back and complete some challenges. The challenge last Saturday was a shape challenge. The primary focus of the card had to be a circle. Well I've been seeing every one's wonderful creations with their Wild Card Cartridges. I haven't put mine to use yet so I figured this was a perfect time.

Here is what I came up with.....

I used the Wild Card Doily cut at 5". I used the layers function to cut the two center circles as a border and a background. The shamrock was cut at 2 1/2" twice. I ran it through the Cuttlebug using the Floral Screen folder. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz inks. The ribbon was from my stash. The sentiment is a Studio G that I got at JoAnn's. I inked it a little bit at a time to have it go around the arc.

St. Pat's Scraps!

Good Morning!

The sketch yesterday over at 365 Cards was to create a card using at least 3 scrap papers. Well this was pretty easy for me. I do keep my scraps and hope that I will use them but it always seems when I create something I'm always grabbing that new piece of paper. So I dug around in the scrap bin and this is what I came up with!

I used Paper Doll Dress up for all three cuts. I inked quite a bit around the edges of everything with Tim Holtz distress ink. The gold in the pot is stickled. The image in the center of the bow is a stamp I cut out. The three squares behind the images are run through the Cuttlebug using Floral Screen. This was pretty easy and fun.

I'm doing my best to keep up with those 365 challenges!

365 Cards - St. Patrick's Hat!

Today they gave a sketch done by Kazan Clark from 2sketches4you.

Here is what I came up with......

For this one I used Nestabilites for the circles. The hat is a stamp from Rubber Stampede. I colored it with Prisma colored pencils. The flower is a prima and the button center is from the Paper Studio. The little shamrock is punched from a Martha Stewart punch. The paper and ribbon from my stash.

Top O' the Mornin' to ya again!

Here is another card I did for St Patty's Day.

The little bee is from Stampendous and he's called Bee Lucky. I colored him with my Bic Markers and I stickled his wings. The sentiment is also from the Bee Lucky line.

I cut the ovals from Nestabilites.

The scallops that go around the corner are also a nesti.

The little shamrocks are a Martha Stewart punch.

The backround paper was run through the Cuttlebug using a Fiskars plate. It's kind of hard to see in the picture.

House Mouse Challenge

Good evening!

Here is one more card I did today.
This one is for a challenge over at the House Mouse challenge blog.

This week the challenge was to use chipboard on your project.

This proved a little difficult because I've never really worked with chipboard before. I had some lying around that I hadn't gotten brave enough to use. This challenge was nice to give me that little push I needed.

I used the House Mouse, O' Lucky Day stamp. I colored the image with Prisma colored pencils. The sentiment is a Studio G I found in the dollar bin at JoAnn's.

The big flower on the right is the chipboard. It was a little darker than I needed for the card but I think it works O.K.

Shamrocks & Cuttlebug Spots!

Here is a card I did this morning for the Cuttlebug Spot Challenge. This week Nilda asked her team to use bows. Of course all are welcome to play along.

The shamrock is cut from Paper Doll Dress Up and run through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I distressed the edges with Tim Holtz distress ink and then pop dotted it. The scallops are cut from Nesties. The one right behind the shamrock is embossed with the Floral Screen folder. The blue I pulled from the backround paper.

The three paper blocks backround paper is from My Minds Eye I found at Hobby Lobby yesterday.

The four pale green adhesive gems I found at Michaels in the dollar bin a long time ago.

The ribbon is from a four pack at Hobby Lobby.

It's MoJo Monday Again!

I love Monday's as some of you may have read. That's when all my favorite challenge spots upload their new challenges.
The sketch this week over at MoJo Monday is another fabulous one. Check them out here. I'm way behind in getting my St. Patrick's Day cards together. So I decided to go "Luck O' the Irish" on this sketch.

Here is my take.......

For this I used all DCWV paper. I cut the shamrock twice from Paper Doll Dress up on real dial size at 2 3/4. I ran the top one through the Cuttlebug using the Swiss Dots folder. I then placed pop dots inbetween the two layers to help it stand out a bit more. Both blocks behind the shamrock were also run through the Cuttlebug using the Floral Screen embossing folder. The "St. Patty's Day stamp is Studio G dollar stamps from JoAnn's. The shamrock border stamp was on clearance from JoAnn's I don't have the package anymore so I don't know whose it is. Sorry!

House Mouse Challenge

Good evening.

Here is another card I did today. Again, I'm branching out to new challenge spots. This one is for House Mouse Monday Challenge. If you love House Mouse stamps it's certainly the place to be. I know I will start hanging out there a lot! I LOVE House Mouse!!!!

This weeks challenge was to use a sketch that they provided. I tried to publish the sketch here but I couldn't get it to work.

The stamp is Mudpie "Oh Lucky Day". I thought this was a perfect start to all my St. Patrick's Day cards. I used Nestabilities to mount the stamp.

St. Pat's Glass Block

Well, as you all may gather, I enjoy the changing of the seasons and or holidays. My house is always decorated for the upcoming holiday. On Sunday I spent the day taking down Valentine's decorations and letting the Leprechauns come out and play. It's so fun, and that way I don't get bored looking at the same old nick knacks all the time. The changing of the seasons/holidays comes from my mom. She's always had the seasonal stuff and it's always been our "fun day" to go looking for new items.

So, for Christmas I made my mom a Valentine's Glass Block. Well, now that St. Valentine has come and gone she, like me, was getting antsy and wanted it changed to St. Patrick's Day. So, I came up with this design. I used the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge for the shamrocks and I welded the border in Design Studio.
