Holiday Road - Bitten By the Bug

Good afternoon!
Hope everyone is well.
Here is a card I did for this week's Bitten By the Bug Challenge. This week Regina asked her team to use the highway sign cut from Going Places. I was SO excited when I checked on the challenge Monday Morning. I immediately had an idea for the cut.
My aunt and uncle from south west Ohio just retired and took their first road trip. They took a week and drove cross country to visit my aunt's mom in Arizona. We have been teasing them since they left that they're the "Griswold's" from the movie National Lampoon's Vacation. Every time they would call we would ask how the Griswolds are or start singing the theme song "Holiday Road."
I made this card for them as a joke and put Welcome Home on the inside. I've had it done for a couple days but had to wait to post it until they got it.
Here is the card......

The highway sign was cut and layered three times using Going Places. All the wording was cut twice to shadow using the Street Sign Solutions cartridge. The Ohio and Arizona was cut from 50 States using shadow and then run through the cuttlebug using a Fiskars bubble plate. The locations in the two states are marked with a red brad and then dotted with a white opaque marker. All to keep with the theme of the background paper. The car was cut from the My World cartridge. The center of the tires are yellow brads. The arrow was also cut from the Street Sign solutions cartridge.

I think it came out pretty good for a little gag card and they were pretty excited about it. Thanks for stopping by!

Welcome Home Griswolds!
