New Puppy and a Pink Elephant!

Good Afternoon!
It feels like forever since I posted something!
The challenge this week over at the Pink Elephant was to use buttons. If you haven't been over to check them out yet do so here.
I did this card for my Uncle and Aunt who showed up yesterday on their way home with a new puppy! It's called a Morkie. It's a mix of a Maltese and a Yorkie. His name is Dexter and he's just the sweetest thing. We had him in the back yard and he was scooting around so fast. He doesn't run he more hops like a bunny. It's too cute.
I wanted to make a card and he's mostly black so here is what I came up with following the challenge..... I thought the dog cut from Animal Kingdom was perfect. It looks just like him. I tried to use my Peechy Keens to stamp his face in white but it looked horrible so I just left it as a silhouette. I cut him twice and pop dotted him to give him depth. I used a little ribbon and a button for his collar. The sentiment is computer generated and then cut with Nestabilities using the Cuttlebug. I used my new Martha Stewart Cornice punch for a border down the side and the same ribbon for the collar and a few buttons. I used the ticket punch from Stampin' Up around the center block and put tiny button brads in the arc's. The paper is from the new DCWV La Creme stack. Thanks for looking!
