Fall Basket & a new baby!

Hey everyone!
I'm still around! August was a crazy busy month...I don't even remember what I did but I know I was a terrible blogger because of it! :)
I have some wonderful news....
My sister-in-law delivered a healthy, happy, precious little girl yesterday morning. Mom, baby and dad are doing well and are expected to go home tomorrow. Little Jillian Gabrielle was born at 10:14 am and weighs 6lbs 4 ounces! I've gone to visit twice already and am just totally in love!!!! I hope to share a picture with you all soon...
I'm going to take a break from posting the scrapbook pages for a sec and share a fall basket I just finished up!
I did this for the assisted living facility that you've all heard so much about for their Labor Day picnic.

I did this last week and can't remember exactly what was cut from what cartridge. The sunflowers were cut from Walk in my Garden. The pumpkins were cut from Happily Ever After and embossed with the Distressed Stripes folder. The wheat and corn were cut from My World. The leaves and autumn came from either Doodlecharms or Stretch your Imagination. The little scarecrow was cut from Paper Doll Dress Up. I added some real straw to give him the real feel.
I used some raffia to cover the presents in the bottom.
Thanks for stopping by!
I hope to be a better blogger now!
Congratulations to Adrienne & Jake! Welcome to the world little Jillian!

  8. This autumn basket is perfect! i was looking for a cute craft project to give to my neighbor who just found out she has cancer. And I think this is a perfect "Pep Her Up" gift. Now I do have some questions... did you just lay them in the basket on top of the raffia or did you attatch them to skewers? If you did attach them to skewers how did you put them in the basket - is there foam in the bottom of the basket? Any more info would be great:) If you have time and would not mind emailing me that would be wonderful. My email address is: Pauline@Tinkertoys.net
    Thanks,
    Pauline
PS: I love your diaper cake too. I was asked to make a diaper cake for a lady in our church and I think I'll try your version:) Thanks for all your ideas.

  9. I'm new at this. The apples and the sunflower stuff is it made out of just cardstock? Did you paint or use marker on them? Thanks!
