Two challenges and One Happy Birthday!

Good Evening!
My father-in-laws birthday is coming up so I wanted to make him a card.

I ended up getting two challenges done while getting a birthday card out of it....LOL! The challenge over at the House Mouse challenge blog was this sketch. Also, over at 365 Cards the challenge this past Friday was to create a birthday card with only the colors red, blue and yellow.

I poured through my stash and found the perfect papers. I really like the way the card came out but sometimes it seems a little girly. I may make him a new one.

Here is what I came up with. I used the House Mouse Ball & Tees stamps. I colored him with my Prisma colored pencils. The circle is my Nestabilites Pinking Circles layered a bunch of times. The cupcake was a Studio G I found in the dollar bin at JoAnn's. The "Fore You" is stamped using Martha Stewart Alphabet clear stamps. I doodled a bit and I was done.

Thanks for checking it out! Have a great night!

  5. What a nice job -- your father-in-law should be very pleased with this one. I think the girly look is just frosting on the cupcake (so to speak). Martha Kay
