Cuttlebug Independence!

This will most likely be the last one for today!
This week over at the Cuttlebug Spot they are celebrating the USA!
The design team was asked to create a patriotic project.
Here is my take....

The Independence Day circle was cut from Graphically Speaking. The two small stars on the sides are glitter brads. The blue circle is sitting on two layers of pinking circles from Spellbinders Nestabilities. The blue background was embossed with Distress Stripes. The four white stars were cut from George. A little doodling and I was done!

Thanks for stopping by!

Bitten By the Bug

WOW! So many posts! Hope you all aren't bored!
This week over at Bitten By The Bug, Regina asked her team to use the Freedom cut from Graphically Speaking. This is a fabulous cartridge and I jumped right on the challenge. I haven't been able to play along with all the other crafty stuff that needed done.
Here is my take....

The background paper is from DCWV. Freedom is obviously cut from Graphically Speaking. I made the tag by cutting rectangles and folding the red edge over. The ribbon I found at Michael's. The glitter star is from Hobby Lobby and a few adhesive gems.
Thanks for stopping by!

MoJo Monday

Well it's Monday that means it's time for another MoJo Monday sketch!
I just love their sketches!
Here is my take...

The bee is a stamp from Stampendous called Bee Bike. God Bless America is a stamp from Craft Lounge. I colored the bee with my Souflee pens. The scalloped square and scalloped oval is Nesties. The three white hearts are brads.

One Card, Two Challenges

Good morning!
Hope everyone is gearing up for the holiday weekend.
This card fulfills two challenges. I'm playing along at both sites for the first time. Fun, Fun!
The first is Card Patterns. The sketch this week is fab. If you haven't been over to their site definitley check it out here.
The second is for Cute Card Thursday. The challenge this time over there was "Wheely good Fun". All you needed was to feature some nice wheels.
Here is my take....

The stamp is from Stampendous and is called USA Biker Bee. He is just darling. The border punch is the Cornice edge punch from Martha Stewart. The striped paper I found at Archiver's. The little button star I found at Hobby Lobby and ribbon is from my stash. I doodled a little and was done!

Baby Shower Invitations

Hi! Hope everyone had a great weekend.
I'm finally going to share the Baby Shower Invitations I made for my sister-in-law. She's due in September and my hubby and I cannot wait to be an aunt & uncle. She's having a little girl and the shower is the first part of August. I've had them done for awhile but have been waiting to post them until they were mailed. I didn't want anyone snooping...LOL!
I did 41 of these....

The background paper is glitter butterflies from Heidi Grace (i think) It's so cute and I found it at JoAnn's. The baby carriage was cut from New Arrival. I cut it a bunch of times to help it stand out. The wheel centers and line on the "umbrella" are adhesive gems. I embossed the bottom half of the carriage with swiss dots. The ribbon on the carriage was the 50 cent spools at Michael's. The circles above the carriage and the blocks the carriage is on are cut from Nesties. It took forever but I LOVE the embossed ridge you get. I paper pierced the scallops on the bottom circle. Baby shower is stamped.

I really LOVE how they came out.

Stay tuned for other baby shower items!

Back & Yellow SSPT challenge

The challenge for Sugar Sweet Paper Treats this time was to use black & yellow on your project.
This proved hard for me because all I could think about was those stinkin' Pittsburgh Steelers. Yuck...LOL! Being a die hard Browns fan I'm not a fan of those colors..LOL!
Anyway here is my take....

The sketch was from CPS121. It was such a fun sketch. Check it out here. The adorable little bee bear is a cut file from My Scrap Chick. I love them! I cut the scalloped rectangle from Storybook. The circles were cut from Nesties. The little flower is a glitter Prima with a brad center. The background paper is from DCWV LeCreme stack.

Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to play along with us at SSPT! We'd love to have you.

Oh and GO BROWNS!!!!

Bear 4th

Hi again!
Just wanted to share one more 4th of July card with you guys!

The bear and flag are cut files from Scrappy Dew. Isn't he the cutest. I used the same basis as the card earlier. The stars on the flag and the stars in the corner of the white box are adhesive gems I found at Michael's. The ribbon was from my stash.
Thanks for checking it out!

4th of July!

Hello & Happy Saturday!
4th of July is creeping up on us! Where did June go?
Anyway I wanted to share a card I made for my little niece for the 4th. This card used the sketch for this week at Unscripted Sketches. Check it out here. Also this week they are celebrating summer at the Cuttlebug Spot. What says summer more than the 4th of July!

The little bear is a cut file from My Scrap Chick! Isn't he just the cutest. I cut him using SCAL and the Cricut. I embossed his shoes and shirt with the distressed stripes cuttlebug embossing folders. I also embossed the white box behind the bear with swiss dots. The paper I believe was from a DCWV summer stack awhile back. The three little white stars are brads. The little ribbon was from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!

Get Well Soon!

I wanted to share another card I did today.
This one is for a family friend who came down with double pneumonia. Poor thing is sooooooo sick, she wound up in the hospital.
This is also for the Sketch Saturday blog. The sketch is so cool...check it out here.
Here is what I came up with...

The little bear in the bed is from My Scrap Chick. Isn't he just the cutest. They have the best paper piecing images over there. I just love them. Check them out here. I cut him out using SCAL and my Cricut. The scallops on the side are from an EKSuccess punch. The ribbon was from my stash. The little fuzzy brads I found at Archivers.

Thanks for stopping by.
Get well soon Marlana. We need you back on the "farm"!

Birthday Invitations

Hi!
Happy Friday!
I wanted to share some invitations I did for a family member's mother. Her mom is celebrating her 60th birthday and well as being done with 16 months of cancer treatments. Now that's something to celebrate!! She didn't care what I came up with but she did want the breast cancer ribbon on them.
I did 25 of these.....

The two sets of smaller square were cut with my Nestabilites. My poor cuttlebug was dead tired. But I just love the look of the embossed ridge so it was well worth it. The ribbon I did myself and the 60 is from Alphalicious. Time to celebrate was stamped and I added some adhesive gems to the sides. I really like how these came out.

I also did two little table decorations for them to have out at the party.....

The balloons were cut from Alphalicous and then embossed with my Cuttlebug. The scalloped circles were cut from Nesties and the 60 was also cut from Alphalicous. The breast cancer ribbon was a free SCAL cut file I found online. I can't remember where I found it so if it's yours please let me know! I added some gift basket shreds. The ribbon was from my stash. The flower is a little Prima with an adhesive gem center.

Thanks for stopping by!
Congratulations and Happy Birthday Bonnie!

Anniversary House Mouse

Hi there,
Hope everyone's Wednesday is going well!
I wanted to share a card I made for my girlfriend who I've been friends with since 1st grade. Her and her husband are celebrating their three year anniversary! We we're both in each other's weddings. She's the best!
This card is also for the challenge this week over at the House Mouse Challenge blog. They provided a wonderful sketch. Click here to check it out.
Here is the card...

I used my Nesties to cut out the circles. I embossed the pink circle with my script Cuttlebug folder. I colored the House Mouse Wedding image with my Prismas. I used my Stampin' Up ticket punch on the edges of the stamped square and placed some sparkly black brads in the insets. I also added some pink adhesive gems to the scallops. The ribbon was from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by! And thank you all for your continuing support!

Happy Anniversary Angie & Nick!

Father's Day #2

Hi again!
I just wanted to share with you the card I made for my Father-In-Law. He is all about grillin' in the summer! He makes some wonderful stuff. Yummy. Anyway, I just can't get enough of this little ant from My Scrap Chick. So I had to use him. This card also fits the challenge over at Paper Blooms this week which is to make a card for a man of influence. Who has more influence than a dad.
Here is the card....

The hamburger and hot dogs are stamps from Studio G that I found in the dollar bin at JoAnn's. I colored them with my Prisma's. The ant as I said is a cut file from My Scrap Chick. I embossed his hat and apron with my Cuttlebug using the Argyle folder. The grass was cut from Plantin Schoolbook. On the inside I have a little stamped grill in the corner.

Thanks for stopping by!

Father's Day - Cuttlebug Spot

This week over at the Cuttlebug Spot, Nilda asked her team to create cards for Father's Day or just a man inspired card. I obviously wanted to make a card for my wonderful dad so it worked out perfectly!
Here is the card....

The paper is from DCWV. I cut the rectangles out with Nesties using the Cuttlebug. Dad is cut from Storybook. The star and #1 is cut from George. The arrow is cut from Street Sign with some brads placed along it. I embossed the top layers of the star and rectangle with the argyle folder. I used that because the background paper looks stitched in places so it kind of matches. The black ribbon is from my stash. I also embossed the ribbon with the stitch border embossing folder. It's hard to see in the picture.

Police Basket

Hi!
I wanted to share yet another basket with you! This one was done for a family friend who has son getting ready to enter the Police Academy. He just graduated from college. They are having a party and wanted one as a decoration. I think it came out pretty good.

I got the Mega Mug at Michaels. The police station and police man were both cut from My Community. The Seal of the state was cut from My World. The handcuffs are a cut file I got from Ruelysi's blog from the Cricut Messageboard. Click here to check it out.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Graduation Basket & Award

Good evening all!
Hope all is well!
Just wanted to share a quick little bucket I made today for a graduation party I had to go to today! The schools colors are maroon and white.
Here you have it.....

I found the mug at Michaels this week. As much as I'm in there I've never seen them. They are adorable! I used Locker Talk for the cap. Tear Drop for the Congrats. The diploma and the gown were both cut using SCAL files from SVGcuts.com.
I was lucky enough to get another award today! Thanks so MUCH!!!!! This one is the One Lovely Blogger Award (it's on my sidebar) and it comes from a newer blogging buddy Kahaulani. She does some great work. If you haven't been lucky enough to stop by her blog do so here. You won't be sorry!
Being that I already received this award before I would love for any of you who frequent my blog to feel free to take it and show it off on your blog. You all mean a lot and keep me going in this craftin' adventure!

Thanks to all of you who continue to stop by and give me support!

BBQ Basket

Good rainy day to ya!
I wanted to share a basket I finished up yesterday for the Senior Center my mom and I volunteer at. They are having a Father's Day Picnic later this week and asked if I could put together a manly basket for a prize. I thought BBQ! What man doesn't like grillin'? Or so I told myself...LOL!
On to the basket........

Now, I feel like I'm cheating on my Cricut Cartridges because I finally bought Sure Cuts A Lot. I couldn't find enough images to make a full basket with one theme for a guy on my carts so I used SCAL. I found a WONDERFUL website with the cutest images ever!!! All images used in the basket are from My Scrap Chick. If you have SCAL and haven't checked them out do yourself a favor and click here.

Thanks for stopping by!
Have a great day!

Bitten By The Bug

Good evening!
Over at Bitten By the Bug, Regina has started a new contest. I haven't actually participated in a contest just a few challenges here and there. For the contest she provided a fabulous sketch. You also were asked to use a flower cut from any of the cartridges. Click here to check out the contest.
Here is my take....

The paper is all DCWV. The stamp is House Mouse - Bird Watching. I colored them with Prisma colored pencils. I added a few stickles to the image to help it sparkle a bit since the striped paper is glitter. The scallops is actually ribbon I had lying around. The three flowers are cut from George with brads as centers. The pink bands on the left were both embossed with my Cuttlebug using Distressed stripes.

Thanks for stopping by!

Paper Blooms -Sketch & Stash- Thank You

Hi!
I found another challenge blog that I wanted to participate in. Sketch & Stash. Every two weeks they provide you with a sketch and you have to use something new, newer or neglected in your stash. If you haven't been over to check out the blog do so here.
The second challenge this fulfills is over at Paper Blooms this time you had to use at least three flowers on your card.
I made this card for my Hubby's Parents who gave us a generous gift for our two year anniversary!
Here is what I came up with....

The blue ribbon is my new item for Sketch & Stash. It's the Paper Studio Ribbon Trends ribbon that was on sale a Hobby Lobby last week. My little friend Changito is the stamp from Stampendous. I colored him with my Prismas. The flowers are Primas with little brad centers.
Thanks for stopping by!

Get Well!

Hi!
I wanted to share a card I made for one of my design team sisters that has been under the weather lately.

The paper is from a DCWV stack. I don't remember which one. The stamp is House Mouse - Bunny Boo Boo. I colored him with my Prisma colored pencils. I used my Stampin Up ticket corner punch around the stamped image and put brads in the insets. The ribbon was from my stash.

Thanks for stopping by!
Cheryll I hope you feel better soon!

MoJo Monday

Happy Thursday!
It's almost the weekend!
This card is for my Aunt who just got a new, better job! Yay her! I wanted to make a card to congratulate her.
I used the sketch from Mojo Monday. Click here to see the fab sketch and the DT creations. Awesome as always!

Here is my take....

The paper I believe is from My Minds Eye. I used nesties to cut the squares. The "You Did It" is from Beyond Birthdays. I had to stretch it a bit to fit in the square. I'm impressed with myself because I pulled of the shadow too. I'm sort of a Design Studio dork!
The ribbon was from my stash!

Thanks for stopping by!
Congrats Jenny!

Puppy Get well and a CPS sketch!

Last one for today!
This card is for my Uncle's puppy Dexter. He just had to have his "man" surgery and isn't feeling that well.
This card also qualifies for another challenge blog I'm playing along with for the first time. It's Card Positioning Systems. They have some fabulous sketches. If you haven't checked them out, you should!
Here is what I came up with.....

The background paper with the paws is from the 8x8 Dog stack by DCWV. The puppy in bed is cut from Paper Pups at 3". The bones were also cut from Paper Pups. I added a few brads and I was done.

Feel better Dexter!

Thanks for stopping by!

Pink Elephant - Creative Card Crew- Birthday

I decided to jump in and play along with another site I've been lurking at for awhile....Creative Card Crew. They have some fabulous Challenges over there. If you haven't checked out their site do so here. The challenge this week is to use a geometric pattern on your card. In other words, any pattern that repeats itself. This card also qualifies for the challenge over at the Pink Elephant this week which is to use pink, brown & white.
The card itself is destined for hubby's cousin's wife (who was also a good friend of mine in high school) birthday Friday.
Here is what I came with....

For this card I used my Happy Birthday Changito stamp and colored them with my Prismas. I cut them out with my Nesties and matted them on a scalloped nestie cut. The flowers were from my stash. I added two balloon brads in the corner and a lot of doodling!

Hope you like!
Happy Birthday Nikki!

I used my Stampin Up ticket punch on the corners of the stamped image and added a few red adhesive gems to the insets. I used my Floral Screen Cuttlebug folder on the white squares. The three hearts in the corner are brads and I used a bit of stickles on them too.

Hope they and you like! Thanks for stopping by!
